Very nice place to hangout and relax. This was my first time to the area. We enjoyed the stay but I have to say one thing. How come does the city department not install some public bathrooms along the river walk? I saw many parents looking for bathrooms for the kiddies only to find a customers only sign or having to buy tokens for the bathroom at micky d's. This is crazy folks. Your going to have drunks peeing in the river if they don't fix that I would think.

I realize over springbreak weekend there were a lot more people around than normal but I only was able to locate one public bathroom in a park about half a mile from teh river walk. Ok, done being a baby over no bathrooms.

On to the good! MI TIERRA has the best breakfast burritos(taco's) I've ever had in my life! We went back 2 days in a row. That place is killer. You are lucky to have it.

Yea I see your point about bathrooms, and I have heard that before. Dont worry though we have drunks pee in the river regardless. MI Tierra is kinda for the tourists (in my opinion). I think you would be amazed with the ones around town. Glad you enjoyed your stay!

Although my wife prefers La Magarita to Mi Tierra (same owner, about 100 feet away), we have a lot of friends who share your opinion.

Regarding restrooms, there is one at the San Fernando river entrance, but the issue has historically been a controversial one. There used to be a couple more, but they were taken out after some security (I believe) problems.

Well I didn't mean to be a grump about it. Just seems that it would be more enjoyable for parents that have little kids to be able to find one quick.

We were not able to get out of the downtown area as much as we hoped during the stay. I've heard from on this board that san antonio has some excellent food thats away from the river. Next time I'll venture further out.

I did get to eat at fogo de chou. It was incredible.
