Where is the best? Some place that dogs have ample room to play, staff is good; somewhere you can drop you're dog off in the summer and they can play but cool down also? I work alot so I'm looking for a place to take my lab couple times a week and tire him out while he has fun playing with other dogs. thanks !

Petsmart has the Pet hotel. Think they do day care as well as over nite.

You might try 10 west vet. They are west of I-10 off DeZavalla behind the Valvoline oil change on the left going west. I know they have a good sized play area but I dont know if they have doggie daycare.

Where in SA do you work or live? That would help us narrow down a choice for you that is most convenient to either place. If you can't find a place that meets your needs, you can always get a pet sitter service to check on your dog and give him/her walks during the day. Some pet sitters also do pet sitting at their home!
I have an informal arrangement with my parents because it is convenient to drop him off and pick him up before and after work plus they have their own dog and are both retired. Maybe you know of someone you trust that also has a dog that gets along with your dog and is convenient to home or work.
Prices range from $10-$20/day depending on the service. I pay my parents about $100/month for dog sitting lol and provide them with my dogs food and toys.

We've used Wag N Tails at 1604 and I-10 (the NW SA intersection, not the NE one). It's a little hard to spot -- take Tradesman drive and go up to the shops at the top of the access road. We were very happy with them, they let our dogs play together in the front room for a decent amount of time, and they take them on several walks throughout the day.

I'm not sure how much they let ALL the dogs play together, so you may want to ask about that. I know Camp Bow Wow does the all-the-dogs-together thing, with webcams so you can watch what's going on.

my chow loved the Petsmart pet hotel at Alamo Ranch. It's the only time I've seen her not happy to see me, which was kinda sad, but I'm glad she had so much fun playing with furballs her own size.

I recommend Camp Bow Wow. I've had my doggies stay for day care, as well as overnight camping, I love that I can check in on my iphone or web, and see video as to their interaction and how they are doing.

If your really concerned about the heat the petsmart daycares are in doors. If you pay for it your dog just stays in the play room all day.
