We were going to Sushi Zushi in the Colonade area one night and there was a fire(?) so we headed out and saw Wasabi, sushi and sake bar. It was great sushi and the service was excellent!

Does it just serve sushi? I know it's not owned by a Japanese family but Korean was it? So the question is do they do that thing where they have an entirely different Asian cuisine on the menu?

There's a place called "Tokyo Steak House" up on the north side near the airport. Can't recall the street, but if you google for it and get the directions, I remember it's right behind an Arby's and a car lot. You won't see it from the street.
It's got the performing chef thing and the sushi bar. Pretty good and reasonably priced by my standards.

My mother in law is Japanese and if she is not making the food herself, she likes to eat at Niki's Tokyo Inn. They also have a market there to purchase what you need to make Japanese food.

You know, I hate to say it (I'm covering my head to protect myself from the barrage of flames I'm about to get), but I really like the sushi they make at HEB...notice, I said the stuff they make. I'll only buy from the places where the actually make it. I'm not going to get sushi at the HEB that brings it in from another HEB...don't like my fish to be well traveled.

I can only say that Benihana is ok. There is one on NW Military that I have not tried yet and I think that there is one on West Ave near Blanco Rd also. I think Sushiyana is the name of one of them.
