Default sushi...

my wife likes sushi zushi (or is it zushi sushi?) which is a chain. There's also place called thai lao that was ok. you can find them on restaurants.com, so you can get a discount there.

there's a place tucked away on 410 and blanco called "islong" which is really good too, but a little pricey.

Koi Kawa in thw quarry has the conveyor belt of which you speak, with plates of different colors that signify price.

My favorite place in SA is Niki's Tokyo Inn hands down.
They are off Hildebrand near San Pedro Ave inside the loop.
Place is only open for dinner, but the food is made by a mother and daughter team. It's the best Sushi I've eaten not only in San Antonio, but ever.
Here's a link to help ya find it. SAeats.com - Niki's Tokyo Inn (http://www.saeats.com/saeats/action/search/viewRestaurant.do?restaurantid=2318&trail=Home,Fin d%20by%20Restaurant%20Name&cs_keys=133,157&cs_valu es=1,1&trailDepth=2&keywords=niki&for=restaurant - broken link)

You all must not get out often. Koi Kawa in the quarry has been closed for atleast 6 months. Koi Kawa on Broadway is excellent. Sushi Zushi is a chain but it is homegrown and pretty good. Goros is also good, as is Tong's Thai on Austin Highway.

Agree with Tong's Thai, the Roll in the Hay is a favorite of ours. That and a Philly/Cal/or Bagel Roll is enough for two people easily. And they deliver, though area may be small.

Also agree that Koi Kawa is really good.

Been to Nicki's on a couple of occasions, and not been as impressed as others, but could have been what I had coupled with the fact that I have not had as much sushi as most people who really like Nicki's.

One place not mentioned thus far, but is a real find is Mon's Thai on Broadway near the Central Market. Very good service, and really good Thai food on top of some very fresh and tantalizing sushi.
