I would like to find good quality childcare in san antonio... I would prefer its not in the middle of no where. I have a pre-school aged child and I also work in child care and I do not like the fact that all you need is a High School Diploma and first aide/cpr training and you can "teach" my child. I understand that wages are low here ehh okay but I dont want a "paid babysitter" keeping my child. Any good establishments???????

A close friend of mine is a pre school teacher at Mini Texans and that's near 10 west and Boerne area and she has a bachelor's degree and many of her co workers as well.
What area of SA are you looking for?

A lot of the local Churches have incredibly good programs. We had ours at Community Bible for a while, which is shutting down their full time program. They have a part time one though. We're moving them to Shearer Hills Baptist starting in June and have many friends with their kids there that have raved about it. Also have a lot of friends with their kids at Trinity (2 locations) that love it.

Since you work in childcare, perhaps you could stay home with your child and take on an extra child or two for income. Win/win. Just a thought.

Or bring your child to your workplace, since that is your field.

Are you looking for a preschool or a daycare? Also do you want a religious (and which one) or nonreligious based school?

Our child is in Shepherd of the Hills. We're happy with them.
