Where are the bluebonnets this year? We are new to the area, but would love to see some Bluebonnets. Can anyone steer me in the right direction? We live in Stone Oak, but can drive where ever.

Thanks,
Sugarbear24

I haven't seen any yet this year. Last March on 1604 & I10 off the 1604 frontage road they had some bluebonnets. There was this field of bluebonnets with people taking pictures.

Saw quite a few on 1604 between Potranco and Bandera today. Also there are a lot growing at Murnin Elementary (on Dugas) from the seeds the kids planted years ago.

Saw a bunch along Interstate 10 yesterday and today starting about halfway to Houston. Didn't see any within 50 miles of San Antonio along there. Based on the drought maps I've seen lately, this may not be a good year for them around here.

Agreed. We need to get a good, drenching rain and then we should see quite a bit of wildflower activity.

I think the rain was required in the fall along with a nice cold snap. SA got the cold but lacking the rain I think this year may be light on bluebonnets.
