If it keeps one drunk off the road during Fiesta, will anyone notice?

Seriously, I hope it helps, but I am extremely doubtful. At least someone is recognizing that this is an issue. Baby steps, I suppose.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to use buses? maybe the trolleys?
As far as I know, you can fit a lot more people in a bus than a taxi.

LOL....nice try mayor. One of the highest alcohal abusing cities in the country. Fiesta is like giving a loaded gun to a serial killer. Although intentions may be good, no way will it work

They should be giving people a free ride home within city limits.

The system probably wouldn't work if you had to take people directly to their house. You would have to drop off people all around the city. I don't think it would be feasible. There are already special buses for Fiesta events that go from a park-and-ride or some other major hub to downtown.

According to the article, 800 vouchers were handed out last year.

WOAI keeps on screwing with the links. Here it is again just in case the other one isn't working anymore. I see they changed the title of the article. The last one must have been too offensive.

I haven't been to a Fiesta event in years and it's not because there wasn't enough sushi or Korean BBQ.
