Default Cranes of San Antonio

The Vistana - Downtown

Grand Hyatt - Downtown

Medical Center

Quarry Village

Four cranes lifting one of the ramps for the 410/281 interchange

Westover Hills

New High School on NW side near Helotus

UTSA

I-10/1604

Methodist Hospital in Stone Oak

Keep in mind this doesn't include the Viadorra (the crane was going up today) or the Broadway, which won't begin construction for another month or two. There's also the Hotel Talavera in the Rim and I believe another office building planned for the Med. Center.

If anyone else has pics with cranes or just general construction around the SA area, feel free to post them here. I'll have more to post over the new few days.

I want to say it's the Methodist Cancer Clinic, but I drove by too fast to see what was on the sign. The site is on Floyd Curl between Wurzbach and Hamilton Wolfe. From what I've read, the building is only going to be four stories, but the picture in front of the site made it look significantly taller than that. I would guess that the completed building will be easily visible from both I-10 East and 410 East, thus adding to the already dense STMC skyline.

Interesting pictures. Lots of construction going on here in SA. My favorite is the 410/281 and 410/IH10 projects. These finally bring SA into the modern era. I would love to see more current pictures of the 281/410 and 410/IH10 construction.

At UTSA the crane is working on a 2-story 59,000sf University Center expansion as well as a 4-story parking garage and thermal energy plant. Also just beginning construction (a few weeks ago) right beside these 2 projects is a 4-story 150,000sf engineering building. This is from the West-bound 410 access road at Airport Blvd. You can see the new overpass and turnaround that they're putting in.

Taking the Airport exit from east-bound 410

You'll have to excuse the glare in this one. The strip of blue is the tint on my windshield and the large black blob is my rear view mirror

I liked how these two cranes were back to back; they look like they're about to have an 18th century-style gunfight.

The 410/Bandera Rd. interchange. I still can't believe something like this is actually being built within the city limits of Leon Valley

I-10/410 interchange from Crossroads mall

A couple more medical center shots I had leftover

No wonder the "crane" is the official San Antonio bird!

To the person who asked, the U/C building in the Med. Center is the new ambulatory center for the Health Science Center.
