I drive a 2006 Audi A6 S-Line; black with saddle leather.

Why don't people in San Antonio buy nice cars? It's a generalization but one based on observation...everywhere you drive, it's these big A trucks everywhere. Do people here not care about the environment?

What's the point of buying a big V8, jacked up, dually when it's just you driving (as I see so often in SA)? I just don't understand that wasteful (and arrogant) attitude.

I had a Corvette, purchased new and kept nice for 10 years. I then traded down to a Camaro, which I still have, and then I bought a Kia Sportage (loaded). The older I got, the less I cared about cars as you can see by the downward spiral. When I retire and get to Texas, though...I will keep a passenger car, BUT I'm buying myself a nice looking truck. Just cause it's cool.

So if those little cars get in our way, we can just run over them
Seriously, My daughter was t-boned in her F250, if she would have been in our little car she would not be alive today.

The amount of trucks you see here far outnumbers other Texas cities. I just think it's strange. And not very environmentally conscious.

Good lord! I see just as many trucks in SA as I do while in Dallas, Houston, etc.

As far as environmentally friendly...you're "nice" car gets 17-21 mpg in the city and 23-29 mpg on the highway. If you have the better equipped model, your gas mileage isn't much better than a full size SUV.

What? I'm sorry but drive around San Antonio and you see mostly old, dilapidated, torn up cars that look just as bad as the people in them....I think an A6 and Prius are mighty fine vehicles (atleast compared to what's on the road here).
