Saw an accident today at 6:30pm on 1604 near Gold Canyon - limousine turned on its side in a ditch and started smoking and a guy was pulling out guys from inside. A big bunch of idiot motorcylists simply rode by the scene with just a glance while I pulled over to call 911. Just then a big bunch of fire trucks came up so help was on the way already.

I am wondering where does one look up police reports, fire reports, emergency reports in San Antonio somewhere on the internet that's up to date every hour or so?

Real-Time Traffic Information
That will get you incidents currently working in COSA. As far as getting the actual police report, I don't think you can do that, unless you can demonstrate you were one of the parties involved. I think they had too many problems with lawyers culling through reports, looking for good prospects to solicit.

Good info ged.....

Too bad the TransGuide Incident Map link on the Traffic Incidents map page is broken.

And I can't wait until they finally fix the Calls for Service by Neighborhood page. That's the one I'm interested in.

I know the Federal Judiciary has a service called Pacer (Public Access to Court Electronic records)

Quote:
Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) is an electronic public access service that allows users to obtain case and docket information from federal appellate, district and bankruptcy courts, and the PACER Case Locator via the Internet. PACER is provided by the federal Judiciary in keeping with its commitment to providing public access to court information via a centralized service.
Public Access to Court Electronic Records

I'd really like to see this type of access to police cases....

I do the same thing does that make me an Idiot? I dont like to get involved, unless I witness the accident in front of me. But each head is its world...

Sometimes people are just too nosy, before calling 911 try to see if anyone was ok first, its called Rendering Aid.

But honestly when you think about it, some people get sued for helping out when the victim did not want any help.

That works for current emergencies. I think the OP wanted to look up one that was no longer current.

Sorry - but what were the m/c riders supposed to do - clutter up the roadway with their bikes, and end up getting hit? You "made a call" - why didn't YOU jump out and assist?

When riding in a group, m/c riders tend to keep within their group, primarily for safety reasons. I can't tell you how many bikes have been hit while on the side of the roadway!

The bikers (15 of them) were already cluttering up the 1604 and literally weaving in and out of the cars that were backing up due to the accident. I almost got hit by one of the bikers weaving from behind my van when I tried to pull over to the side of the road and call 911. I couldn't go across the 1604 to help the accident victims because I had a young child with me in the van at that time. Anyway thanks to those who came up with links but Bo is right that I am trying to find not so current information. I want to see that folks got help and are ok.
