Hmmmm....I like puffy tacos....literally and figuratively, with certain items that look like puffy tacos, provided they're properly primed.

Not too sure what my opinion of "landing strips" is now. I prefer freshly cut grass, nice and smooth, no impediments to....whatever.

WOW. I love those people who feel their intellect is so sophisticated, and their time too valuable, that they can only be bothered to have serious discussions. If my post came off as a complaint rather than food for thought, then my bad. MY daddy taught me that some people in this world take everything too seriously.

The trouble is, we wouldn't get a "decent" name, we'd get a politician's name.

Gravelly Point -> National Airport -> Reagan National
Idlewilde - John F. Dennedy International
The William B. Hartsfield (Atlanta) International
Cape Canaveral -> Cape Kennedy -> Cape Canaveral
The Lyndon B. Johnson Space Flight Center
and very much etc.

Give a politician a chance and you'll open a door you'll regret. We're now about to lose Durango Boulevard - again - to another name. Last time it was to be "H.F. Garcia Boulevard," and this time it'll be "Cesar Chavez."

I like SAT. Much better than ORD...very confusing. And what's so cool about "Midway?"

MM2 - I don't think I'd want an airport named after me. I'd rather not hear "I'm flying into Chaka." Something a bit strange about that...

I thought that was because he had a major hand in acquiring and creating the park and that it's one of his ongoing pet projects, rather than just a thing to honor him.
