I'm using ADT and am paying $41 a mo...hmmmmm, I wonder why most of you are at like $26?

Thanks for the reminder . But I thought I read that some others are using ADT as well and paying less - maybe it was another company I saw.

It sounds like it's a retention rate for people who threaten to leave once their contract is up.

AP2011, the way I got the 26 dollar rate was by simply calling after my contract was up and telling them that I was going to cancel to save money, not go with another company just cancel. So they sent me over to customer retention and got that rate.

USAA discount...you might want to see if there are any discounts you are eligible for...

Satellite monitoring no phone land line required. I think I pay $16.95 a month, if paying by the year.

I'm gone about 1/3 of the year and so far it's been great. Going on my third year with them.

Cheapest and most effective thing to do is take one of those little ADT signs from your neighbor's yard and stick it in yours.
