Hi there,

A few months ago I was in a car accident that wasn't my fault and did some good damage to my vehicle. It wasn't totaled nor was I injured but it caused a lot of stress and incurred a lot of expenses because I was in the transition moving from sa to la( had to come back to get my vehicle which their insurance didnt pay for) Their insurance only paid to fix the damages to my vehicle but I would like to see what else a lawyer could assist with.

Does anyone recommend a good lawyer who could assist me with more legal advice about my situation? Thanks

The key to that is a PERSONAL INJURY lawyer. No injuries means you will have a hard time finding a lawyer to take on a property claim.

My friend, it's worth a try I reckon - but their only responsibility is generally to repair the damages. The fact that you were relocating wasn't their fault, and frankly I doubt you'll have any luck recouping additional funds from them. If you find someone willing to try, be SURE it's on a "contingency" basis - that they get paid ONLY based on any additional monies they help you recover. If they want ANY money from your pocket - run - they're gonna take from you, make some noise, then come back and say "Sorry - nothing you can do!"

Honestly, I wouldn't waste my time. It is hard enough getting anything out of it when you are injured... let alone if you are not.

There are no guarantees you will get anything... you may actually end up out more than you are now.

If the car has been repaired to your satisfaction I say let this one lay in the past and move on with your life.

Yeahi might just have to put it behind as some of you mentioned. It was such bad timing and these expenses I had to pay out if pocket sucked. Oh well I guess but I'll keep an eye out for something just in case. Thanks

***** happens!.. Time to put the big man's pants and move on in life..

It sounds to me like all you want is $$$$. It was an ACCIDENT, accidents happen. Imagine if it was the other way around.. You got into an accident and it was your fault and the person wants to take you to court for the stress you caused in his life...after insurance paid for car damages.. How would you feel?.. Thank God you're alive to tell the story.

you werent injured. no respectable lawyer will take your case. you got your car fixed, you dont deserve a check for your 'stress'. maybe for your rental car, but thats about it.

yes i do want some money, why wouldn't i? i paid $300 going back to texas and driving back to LA on top of of an extra cost in the car rental i paid out of pocket. what am i supposed to do? just leave my car back home??? it was inconvenient. so i'm over $300 deep, wouldn't it be nice to have some money back into my pocket? i'm a safe driver, so i wouldn't have to worry about being a retard and colliding into another vehicle the way they did to mine.

once again, you are only entitled to having your car repaired. you cannot sue if you were not injured. just let it go please.
