Without having to go through tons of restaurant posts, we want to send our 20 y/o son out with his girlfriend whose turning 21. Not over the top but something nice, perhaps where they can dress up (formal dress) and make her feel special.

Looking at $100. - $125. including tip.
Suggestions?

Do you want atmosphere, like a windowless place where it's dark inside at 6:00 or is a place that's brighter OK? I was thinking of suggesting Welcome to The Lodge Restaurant, which has a lot of windows and is fairly bright inside.

For atmosphere, I was thinking of http://www.fredericksbistro.com/.

If it's just the two of them here are some choices,
Cappy's, The Silo, Fleming's, Paesano's, Crumpets, are all good choices

I'd reccomend Il Sogno.

Of the other suggestions, Lodge would also work for a "dress-up" dinner. Frederick's would be dress-up, but it's sort of old & tired. The rest of the suggestions are fine, but they're not really "dress up" type places.

Whatever you do, don't send them to Crumpets. The place is horrifically outdated.

How about Welcome to Scuzzi's Italian Grill (http://scuzzis.net/ - broken link)

It's pretty at night with the sunset near 1604.
