I sold an IKEA table and chairs in less than 5 mins for my asking price. The girl who bought it was here in 30 mins. (UTSA area to the SS) I dont sell things very often on CL, but when I do its usually larger items, like furniture or home decor stuff.

I also sold a fridge in an hour for my asking price and that guy got here pretty quickly too coming from Helotes.

Both of these times when I spoke to the buyer, I was semi concerned they would back out because of the drive (and to a lesser extent that I am on the SS and well, people have their ridiculous assumptions) but they both showed up within a reasonable amount of time. And I totally blew the money on beer and fajitas so WIN-WIN.

Young country singer. Her first name is Taylor and it was kinda amusing when she was dating Taylor Lautner from the Twilight movies. I can only imagine the conversation! Two people with the same first name!

Orale! Who would have known an IKEA table on the Southside? I have one too best table ever and found it on craigslist but the buyer was on the Eastside near Foster Road. What kind of fajitas...chicken or beef?

I sold a nintendo ds for 100 bucks in an hour. I remember once trying to sell an entertainment center that when new cost me 300 dollars, I started at 100, nothing, 75, nothing, 50, no takers, I lowered it to 20 dollars, and still nothing! and I wanted that thing out of my house, so I listed it for free, I had 40 e-mails in a half hour, I should have asked for a 6pack in return at least..LOL

If an item is priced right, it usually takes about 30 minutes to get a real response - I'm not counting scam replies, people asking if it's still available without providing contact info, or people who ask questions that were in the posting (like, "What is the model number?").

However, last time we moved, my husband offered a bunch of boxes for a couple bucks and he got a response in about 3 minutes, guy came over to pick them up 30 minutes later.

my biggest mistake on craigslist was putting my e-mail address in the ad. I had so many scammers sending me e-mails. you know its a scam when they ask for details of the item, when you listed every possible detail there was on the ad
