I remember Texas Pride and even drank it when there was nothing else before going to Falstaff. What other beers were brewed in Tx? I know Lonestar was/is..is the museum at the lonestar old brewery still open to the public?

No - the museum is long gone. Texas Pride was brewed by Lone Star. There was also Pearl Beer - dunno that it's still being brewed, but it WAS brewed in SA. Shiner beer is brewed in Shiner, TX - may be others, but that's the 3 that I'm sure of.

Actually the buckhorn hall moved to downtown. And Pearl Brewery was the maker of Texas Pride.

Here's a couple of links

D'oh - yer right!<sigh> Talk 'bout brain fart...

Not ALL of the exhibit made it downtown, though - because I remember some of the stuff they had, and it ain't all there, but MOST of it is.

Default Texas Pride Beer,

I thought was not a very good quality beer. I remember it's Blue label though and that it was made by Pearl. The Buckhorn museum used to be at the Lone Star Brewery and the beer that was served off the tap there at the saloon was free of charge to the public in the early nineteen seventies. I also remember that Lone Star Beer was $1.00 for a six pack.
Falstaff was brewed in Louisiana? I think.

I think I remember drinking a Jax or a Falstaff once, but you had to have a church key to open them. No pull tabs...Actually, they weren't too bad a beers. Now Schlitz, was not so good on my digestive tract....

Default Jax is no more,

I haven't noticed one in years. I believe Lone Star is around but is now
owned by Olympia Brewing co. and is brewed in Dallas not San Antonio
any more. I don't believe it tastes nearly the same anymore but only similar.
They must have changed the recipe.

I used to drink that when I was too broke to afford anything else...it gave me the most awful sulfer-smelling farts...
