Default Favorite Oriental Food Restaurants

For Chinese food my favorite has got to be China Harbor on Walzem rd. Korean food would be Sam Won off Rittiman rd and IH 35. They have always had good reviews. Others look ok but not too good reviews on "Behind the kitchen door." Any other recommendations?

We usually go to Fortune Cookie on 410 near Ingram.

My husband likes Pei Wei, but I don't.

I never read reviews about restaurant cleanliness...I don't think I'd ever be able to go out to eat if I did.

Fortune Cookie is good eats!

I actually love both by Ingram and never remember which is which. The one by where Mervynn's used to be and the one across 410 by the pool hall.

I like Pei Wei, too. Some folks here think it's a nutritionist's nightmare.

Bei Fang is good... My hubs has been getting Bei Fang every Tuesday night for years and years... Shrimp and Lobster Sauce, no water chestnuts... It never changes, ugh!

Anyway, there is also Ming Tree on Blanco... Very good food, I like it better than Bei Fang and Ming Tree also won the Blue Plate Award...

Really? Why is that? I don't mean to be rude, but Oriental is a term meaning East; just as Occipital is a term meaning West. I don't see anything un-PC about using the term "oriental" in response to a type of cuisine.

Good heavens, if that's too negative, someone better tell John from Kingwood, TX. He's Chinese and has owned Oriental Gardens restaurant there since 1987! It rocks!

We like House of Joy at Bandera and Guilbeau. The food is always good. Plus the name sounds naughty.
