I used to go to the Little Red Barn steakhouse in the 70s and at that time most of the cowgirl waitresses were 50+ years old. The steaks were good and big. Is it my imagination or did the steaks get smaller for the price over the years? I was there last week. The waitresses still wear those sexy cowgirl uniforms and it will always be a favorite place to go for gettogethers. Maybe since I was smaller back then the steaks just seemed bigger???

The steaks are tasteless... big or small, and the place is not what it used to be.

I went there for the first time in February, while the Rodeo was in town. There were plenty of cowboys in attendance.

Even though I didn't live here, I remember places like that from the 70s and I found it hard to imagine that much had changed there since the 60s... except for the prices.

It is a very efficient place to eat. The restaurant has a unique system and it seems to work. It's worth going there once for the experience and it won't take a big bite out of your wallet.

Haven't been in a long while but I do know the Health Department people visit there alot. They show up on the BMHD demerit list about twice a year. Whoever said it wasn't what it use to be is spot on...

Default little red barn

I have not been there in years and for a reason. Food is overpriced, steaks are tough, service stinks and seating is uncomforable. We used to go for work functions and somebody's birthday. I would never go by choice these days.

I used to love going to this place when I was a kid but now I avoid this place like the plague! I suggest everyone do so as well.

Nope! Most look like Senior Citizens - they should be demoted to a Walmart greeters.

Not completely this: Urban Dictionary: walmart greeter but close

I would have to agree with that as a general rule but there are exceptions. I went there for a family function several weeks ago and was surprised to see that our waitress was a very nice looking young lady. She was so nice and friendly that by the time were leaving we were all giving her hugs like she was part of the family. I have to say that I have never had that kind of experience at any restaurant anywhere and never would have expected that at Little Red Barn. As far as the food went, I was not impressed or disappointed. It was just Little Red Barn food.

Complaining about Little Red Barn's food is kinda like going to McDonalds or a Wendy's and complaining about not getting a Chris Madrid or a Lord's Kitchen hamburger
