hey guys/gals,

i'm heading out to seaworld this weekend and just had a few questions aimed at anyone that might be able to answer them!

has anyone done the "ultimate safari" was it worth it? how long is it? did you get to feed dolphins?

I'm a bigger guy, about 250 lbs lol, will this be an issue with the rides?

what would you recommend clothing wise?

anyone get the all day food pass? was it worth it?

think it will be crazy busy on the sunday before 4th of july?

any tips for me?

feel free to answer any one of these questions ! appreciate it big time!

- J

It is going to be insanely busy this weekend. At 250 and given the weather forecast, I'd dress in light cotton as much as possible; it's going to be a little warm. As far as their food, if you've never been, it's not that great. I would eat before you get there and again after you leave. Wouldn't count on any quality meals inside the park.

Wear shorts and a t-shirt if possible and shoes good for walking. Take sunscreen if you're pale and wear a hat.

I don't know how their food is...by the time I've paid for parking and park admission and for the kids to feed the dolphins and for hubby to buy a hat because he's too manly to just bring one and for locker rental if we're going to use the waterpark ($14 for locker rental, isn't that nuts?)...by the time I've paid for all that, we're too broke to eat there and we just go to the McDonalds that's 2 miles down the road and buy everyone a dollar cheeseburger and fries.

We are serious SeaWorlders and we dont go near that place on July 4th weekend. We have never done the all day food pass. Beause we have annual passes it is rare that we spend an entire day there (can always go back the next day) so it wouldnt be worth it. I will say that their BBQ is awesome!! It's about the only thing I dont mind overpaying for.

Your size will be an issue depending on your height. I am 255lbs, but I am also 6'5". The Great White is a bit of a squeeze for me. Steel Eel has never been a problem. Atlantis is a tight squeeze too.

Echo other posters, it will be mobbed this week-end, if you do go make SURE you wear a hat and put on sunscreen... light colored clothes and something comfy to walk around in.

I never fail to see people walking around SeaWorld, no hat, their faces beet red sweat pouring off of them panting for breath....
