Thanks KittyKat. That is exactly what we have chosen.
I am looking forward to it and hoping the jellyfish leave us alone

Thought I would post an upate as we just got back. We were not able to stay on the "island" but did get a hotel in Aransas Pass. It was just a Microtel Inn. The hotel was very clean, and the breakfast was plentiful. The pool was small but also clean and a nice lounge area. Can't complain about the stay there at all.

I quickly learned that there was a ferry required to get to Mustang Island. Ok, I admit that at first I envisioned what a nightmare that process would be. I have to say it was quite simple. Only one time did we have to wait for over an hour for the ferry. Kinda weird being on a ferry by the way with an 18 wheeler, or Optimus Prime as my son referred to it.

The beach was great the first day, strong current and my son had a blast with his surf board and his attempts to "hang 10". The second day "man o war" were everywhere so it was a tad less fun. So we gave the sand and the seagulls our attention that day an still had a blast.

My two favorite restaurants of the trip: Moby Dicks and Oceanside Seafood. Oceanside had the best fresh oysters by the way.

Favorite gift shop: Inn and Out off of 361.

Do I still prefer SPI? Yes, but for a quick trip I will definately be back to Port A again!!!
