Greetings,

I've been thinking about one of my favorite dishes my Grandmother used to make for me, fried chicken hearts. I'd love to have some again, but I don't know anywhere that makes them. I know a few that have chicken livers & gizzards, but alas, no hearts.

I can't even recall the last time I saw a pint of them for sale in the meat market.

Anyone have any ideas?

hehehe... well, even if I can't find a restaurant, at least I've gotten a good laugh.

Favorite spot for livers and gizzards is Tip Top. Gini's Home Cooking has very good livers, but I order mine on top of brown rice with creamed spinach. Excellent. Back in the day they served them on rice topped with a plum sauce.

I'm with you NurseDana, they are excellent. I hated liver in any form as a child, but there was always a place in my heart for hearts. There's gotta be some joint off Gevers or somewhere that does hearts.

Maybe someone will wanna trade info for a place I know of that sells Tripas off the menu
