Have a buddy broken down on the Eastside of SA right now - what parts shops are open 24 hours - preferably near that side of town (FM 78 & 410)?

I know this location of Auto Zone is open 24 hours but not sure if there are others closer to your buddy. Store Hours and Map | AutoZone.com

Skeet, that link is bad. AZ.com is down. Are you talking about the one on SW Military?

Try calling them...

AutoZone, 1607 SW Military Dr, San Antonio, TX. Tel: 210-927-9886

But according to this site, they are 24 hours!

Cheers! M2

Thanks, guys! Especially to SanAntone RR, who not only called to confirm they had the parts we needed, but offered to come out an' lend a hand!

M2 - thanks for the additional info, as well!

It's funny - SA RR, M2 and myself are on a Texas-based gun board - so we know each other - but yet we managed to "hook up" and help each other out here! Thanks to the help, we got the parts and got my buddy back on the road!

Yeah, that's good-to-know info in case of emergencies like this!

Actually, I knew SanAntone RR from a local sportbike forum before that; and I'm starting to get the feeling he's stalking me!

I'm glad everything worked out!

Cheers! M2

Yes, location on SW Military. I confirmed the link worked yesterday when I posted it but now it seems not to work.

No problem, Skeet - I appreciated the effort! Main thing is that we were able to get his car repaired and back on the road with a little elbow grease last night - beat payin' a tow truck AND a repair shop!

Doubly frustrating was when I jumped in my F-450 to go lend a hand last night.....and popped a fuse on the running/dash lights (#()!*!) !! Got home about 3:30 this morning, turned off the phones (something I *never* do), and hit the hay intending to sleep until I decided to wake up.....which I did, promptly at 6 am! Oh, well - got up, started tryin' to troubleshoot the electrical problem.....then suddenly remembered a clearance light that had been giving me problems on the back of the utility bed. Pull it out....well, sunshine - whatever genius had wired it had simply twisted the wires together......NO tape/wire nut! Ended up breaking the lens on the light getting it apart, got lucky and found a replacement lens at an Autozone over off Pat Booker. Ran in, picked it up, rewired the harness w/an insulated crimp connector, and *voila* - lights fixed!
Now, if just the rest of the day can run that smoothly.....
