They have good food there. There is actually a Copeland's in little old Alexandria, LA.

Their salads are really good. I am a big BJ's Brewery fan, but the Copeland's food is probably better. A little more upscale atmosphere. But I like BJ's Brewery alot.

Copeland's is way better than BJ's Brewhouse. I may be just a Louisiana snob though, being from there and eating at Copeland's a lot in the past... I definitely look forward to Copeland's opening here in Stone Oak!

Copeland's used to have my favorite dish in the world. They had fried eggpland strips fairly thick covered with a crawfish au gratin sauce. It was on their appetizer menu and I would just go in and get that with a house salad all the time. It was the best. Then one day I went in and it was gone, the waiter told me corporate had decided to get rid of it. I was so disappointed. I've eaten there a few times since I left Louisiana when I go back to visit, and always hope I see it on the menu again, but never do. Just looked it up on an old menu:

Crawfish Eggplant Au Gratin
  • $8.95
  • eggplant sticks fried crisp and smothered in a rich crawfish au gratin sauce
