thanks everyone for your replies!

i still dont know what i am going to do.

specifically i am looking for a travel nursing job - just so i can scope it out without a big commitment and if i love it i will stay there, but i just dont know.


i cant deal with another new england winter thought thats for sure. im already wearing sweatshirts and jeans.

Hi! Thanks for that info... that website was very helpful... a little concerning though because the salary listed for ER nurse is like almost half of what I make here in Boston. Is the cost of living in texas really different?

I found a web site and compared Boston with San Antonio. Not knowing your salary, I used $50K for comparison. It said that your salary could decrease to $28K here in San Antonio. It is 43.4% cheaper to live in SA than Boston. Housing had the biggest gap (a lot cheaper here in SA). Here is the web site page:

Some say 20-40 dollars an hour others say 29 dollars an hour while others say 36-40 dollars an hour.
