Does anyone know of a place that sells green peanuts for boiling? We just moved to San Antonio about a month ago and boiled peanuts are the one thing I really miss the most from home (GA).

Don't know if they have them or not but you can try Picosos Peanuts. They are located in Helotes out Bandera Road. Their number is 210-695-8727, website is Welcome to PicososNuts.com
I would suggest calling them even if they don't have what you want on their website, they are very friendly and will probably get you what you want.

Try Davis Produce in Savannah as they do have Boiled Peanuts for sale along w/ lots of other goodies. If your missing any of the pickled treats they also have a TON of stuff they can. We stopped by this place a few weeks ago when we were in Savannah and they had boiled peanuts out to sample. My kids had never heard of such and would not try them. Of course hubby is partial to them being from Alabama.

I think I saw them at World Market. You can call and ask before you go. I don't know their phone number, they are at the Rim.

cans are definitely not the way to go.. I also love boiled peanuts, but have found you basically have to go to Georgia to get them. I tried importing them when a guy I work with went home to Georgia, but it wasn't the same. They have to be in a paper bag and come from a stand on the side of the road. That's the only way they taste good, or at least that's what I think

Smile Floresville

OH ya, miss those peanuts, had them years ago on our way to Florida and then lived there last year. We are working on a good way to make them at home. Let you know if we ever get it right!

I was wondering if anyone has tried in Floresville, is this not the peanut festival town.
