Yes, that bad. Time Warner was a lot worse than AT&T internet.

As for options, I could send you sympathy flowers.

by far, the complaints in time warner vs att are way more with time warner. att seems to have decent service in most areas in SA, whereas with time warner, its hit or miss.

take the apt complex i moved from a year ago. it was almost guaranteed that i would lose my connection once a day for no reason. once every couple of weeks i would have an outage of a 3-12 hours.

time warner came out i dont know how many times over a 6 month period of time and couldnt fix the issue.

switched to att, havent had a problem since.

I'm not in San Antonio but they cut off my phone service even though I paid the bill. I can't even call them because I don't have a phone and I can't go in person until I'm done with full-time summer school because I'm literally in school from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday.

I wonder if this is all related. What's going on with AT&T?

For people who have ATT DSL, call up and threaten to cancel and they will give you a year of DSL service for 19.99/mo. I've been doing this the past couple of years, I just say that my bill is too high and that I want to cancel.
Also, if you have sirius/XM, you can call every year and threaten to cancel and they will offer you a $77/year deal. I've been doing this for the past 3 years.
Never pay full price for these services.

Can you call from a school office phone? A friend's phone? There's an online chat service on AT&T that connects you with a customer service rep and you can use a desktop or laptop for that.

It's not that bad. You are just going to hear more about problems people have versus positive experiences. I have had Roadrunner Turbo for going on 8 or 9 years and have never had a problem short of one modem dying a few years ago. I went to a TW office, they switched it out and I was back in business.

TW is not my most favorite company but I really dont have a single complaint about my RR service.

My AT&T internet service sucks. In fact, everything about AT&T sucks. I have my internet and mobile service with them, and they still send me separate bills for the services. And my internet service keeps failing at the most inconvenient times.

Unfortunately, I haven't had much better luck with TW so I guess I'm stuck.

while this does happen, it happens more often with TWC.

i dont like the 2 separate bill crap either, nor did i like having my account number changed when i was forcibly moved into another apt unit (at the last complex i lived at) and when i moved into my house.

stupid system IMO

I agree, AT&T is mentally insane to no end whatsoever.
