People on the east side never seem to want anything to be built there. The city should just draw a rectangle on the map and declare everything from the Alamodome east to Loop 410 a landmark and let folks enjoy it the way it is now forever.

"Kids, you see that street over there? Grandpa grew up on that street. It looks just like it did when he was a boy, because the city told everyone that they have to leave it exactly this way. I love that!"

It'd be a shame if a few people ruin it for everyone else. Sounds like an excellent idea.

If you check that lot out on Google Maps, on maximum zoom, it looks empty. If you zoom out just a tad, it looks like it had a ton of junk on it last year or 2 years ago that's been cleared out. I wonder what it used to be. Interesting.

I am FOR the brewery. Small businesses in the form of microbreweries are always a good thing!

Anyone who has lived in San Antonio for 30+ years knows that Cherry St. was a well known place to pick up prostitutes. If that's how they want to keep their memories, I say to heck with progress! LOL let 'em keep their memories of the skankage and let's move on ... there are other places to build the brew place... just not as cheap.

Awwww yeah!! I remember those hookers were all on the East side skanking it up! Guess they never left cause it is still skanky over there. Why not build the brewery on the NW side and have a shuttle for the hookers. We'd hate for the prominent folk to have to travel over there for quickies.
