MrsDrake is on a distinguished road
I can totally relate with being afraid of an animal. I was malled by my own golden retriever when I was 10. I am also a pit bull owner and I know she would never do anything to anyone unless it was to protect me or my family. That is because how she was raised. Any animal can be vicious, I also had a chihuahua when I was young and very irresponsibe and that dog was so mean she would bite anyone who walked in the door even me. I understand being afraid of animals it just makes me sad that people generalize dogs. I deal with it all the time when I take my dog for a walk. I have a seven year old niece that has not been around my dog that much until about a month ago and they sleep and cuddle togeter all the time. I just want to share that information with people to let you know not all pit bulls are bad. Just like not all people are bad. Its thier owners Michael Vic is a great example of abuse. Dogs (all breads) should be treated like family members. Just think how would you be after being tied up outside everyday with no love or attention, I can guarantee you would be a mean person too.
