Are there any public water spray fountains around town (esp. North SA) for children to play in? If anyone is familiar with Discovery Green in Houston, I am referring to something like that.

There is one at Chris Park downtown but its not running right now with the drought. I'm not sure you'll be able to find any because of that without going to an actual water or theme park.

Oh, man, I miss Discovery Green. Now THAT was fun. That gives me an idea....maybe I should drive out there with a family for a weekend trip. Hmmmm.

While the waterpark is open at Fiesta Texas the spray pad area in what used to be Wiggles World is not. Found that out after I let my 5 year old wear flip-flops primarily to play in it. We ended up super-hot (waterpark was still closed then) and with blisters. He was hurting and I had to carry him. I suspect alot of places will be shut down as pretty much every fountain I've seen has been turned off. I sure wish we'd get a nice big hurricane (or 4) that would hit between towns then slam SA with week long rains!
