I remember the baseball strike in 1994 that killed baseball. It took over 10 years before attendance got back to pre-strike levels.

It's ALL a tale of the greedy versus the greedy-er!

NBA players are extremely well paid. Many of them have no college degrees and they get paid better than nurses and doctors who care for the sick and save lives.

How about we tell them to reach a deal soon, or like so many people in America living in poverty, we'll make them live on an income of 15,000 a year?!

They should be glad they are getting something.

I'm not following the lockout as well as I should be, so this is because the players want more money?

The owners say they can't afford what they're paying now. The players want more than the owners are paying now.

What's funny is more than half the teams are in red. There are plenty of guys out there that are willing to play for less than what these punks are. But it's the owners fault for paying unproven proven players millions of gauranteed money, then they go and get hurt, or flat out suck. I love my spurs but I don't care if they win 3 championships in a row I'm never going to a game or buying apparel...then they have the nerve to ask for new stadiums from the fans!!!! Please!!!

Totally made up. Sorry. It's my feeble attempt at humor in an otherwise darkened forum.

Just don't forget 1999. There was a lock-out and then the Spurs won the championship.
