He just writes what the press release says. I've written countless emails to him and the editor for him to get some balls and write something bad about one of the cars.

Stopped reading Williams' drivel many years ago - it's nothing more than an ad for whatever company has ponied up for ad space and given him a bullet list of key features they want promoted. I don't care per se - but at LEAST they could let folks know that it IS an ad, because an unwary consumer might well be misled and make an expensive mistake based on his "recommendations".

Despite the friendly headline, Williams' harrowing story about the wintertime range of the Nissan Leaf convinced me that it's not the car for me.

Nissan Leaf a comfortable, fun car to drive - San Antonio Express-News

You folks do realize that auto dealers sink more ad dollars into newspapers than any other advertiser? Advertising revenues are getting more scarce all the time, and they don't want to do anything to make that cash cow angry.

Just out of curiosity, what would have made the story more balanced? Quotes from the busted prostitute? Quotes from strip club patrons?
I almost lol'd on the picture. Really? Deer mounts in a strip club?

Chalmers' job is to tout the vehicles that are sold by the dealers who spend thousands of $$ on print ads in the newspaper that employs him.

yeah...what were they talking about again? Oh yeah, boobs and sex. Well, if you're a guy, it's just a natural segue into cars after that.

BTW, after noticing that they were huge sponsors of that ghastly Discovery series "Curiosity", Nissan will NEVER have one penny of my money. They can take their Leaf and shove it where the sun don't shine.

Dang it, there I go~
