Took this near Boerne today. Notice the brown hill that is dead.

That's actually past Boerne, technically I think it's called Nelson City but more commonly known as the road to Waring-Welfare.

Actually, it's best known as the location of Po-Po Restaurant!*

It's usually that dry looking there every summer...

Cheers! M2

That certainly proves water doesn't flow uphill. That IS dry.

I believe that is the same hill we passed on the way to Fredericksburg for 2 weeks in a row... I had mentioned also about how dead the hill was and both hubs and my dad said that it looked more like there had been a fire on the hill... There are some charred black spots that we saw while driving by...

Whether is it was a fire or just the immense drought it is still a very sad sight to see...

Hello,

Yes, I was at the Nelson City dance hall watching (my ranch is down the road). 150 acres burned on both sides of the highway. It was started by a jackass coming in from Centerpont on IH-10 with a brisket cooking in a bar-b-q pit in the back of his truck. Caused 7 fires along the way. People were calling the whole time giving police the heads up about this idiot. He was caught! The winds were bad that day, burned several RV's at the Top o the Hill RV park.
