Having never been to a TJ's, what makes it so desirable, what are the main attractions?

They carry certain items (own brand) that are not available elsewhere, the store is kind of quirky, they have great prices and excellent quality. But you will have to judge for yourself. I have never been able to sample most of their items, because I am travelling when I stop in.

It's just different, and a welcome addition to the San Antonio grocery market. Variety is the spice (and they carry quite a few) of life!!

GREAT food at GREAT prices, their own, not to be found anywhere else kind of items, friendly, fresh, GREAT no matter what you select kind of place.

I can honestly say I have NEVER bought something from TJ's and said "OK, tried that, not one of my favorites".

It IS very quirkey and fun....and really, VERY reasonable in price. The reason your bill is so high when you go there is you get SO MUCH for the $$$.

I would be really surprised if it happens that soon but I would most certainly welcome IKEA here!

Well, Trader Joe's still wouldn't be in an area I could really get to much.
Sun Harvest became Sprouts a while back. At least Sprouts put some of the items back that they had removed from the stores. Guess people were staying away because they couldn't find the things they used to buy at Sun Harvest before the stores changed hands!

Hmm? Last time I checked Sun Harvest on Stone Oak and Huebner still keeps that name. Perhaps you meant corporate ownership?

I think you mean Green Fields, not part of Sun Harvest/Sprouts
