Kirby's was great! The two of us still spent $150 (we added a salad, nice wine etc...) but still a good deal for Kirby's.

Max's was surprisingly good, very generous portions to boot. Rissoto/chicken and pumpkin gnochi leftovers yay!
I'm glad you mentioned the "total tab" factor, since you go out expecting to spend $70 for two at dinner and it ends up doubling by the time you add wine/cocktails/tax/tip. It's still a great deal considering what you'd normally spend at some of the high end places.

Max's was great. Biga was suprisingly so-so, as I am a huge Biga fan maybe I just expect more. Kirby's duck and foie gras 1st course was AMAZING!!

FYI, as Lauren stated earlier, they are offering the menu through Sept 3rd. Might have to go back for more.

Scratch that, it's also 1/2 priced bottles of wine at Kirbys on Sundays. We're going back tonight!!
