Bring it up with your Sub-division, possibly via email, create a petition, and have a sitdown meeting with the Developer.
If enough of the sub-divisions in our area make a clamor, they will back down.

We can always decide to completely boycott their development if they aren't willing to negotiate.

I couldn't find any information about specific companies going in there.

Any one else?

I know something is coming, I hope it's nice. BUT I really would have preferred a nice shaded park. That is what we were told when we built our house 3 yrs ago right across the street.

If you were told this and you believed it you were gullible. I am not trying to be rude, and if I come across that way, I am sorry. When looking to purchase a home with vacant land nearby your best bet is to do your own research and not ask the person tasked with selling you your home what it will be. I can assure you that 9 times out of 10 that this person will tell you what it is that they believe you want to hear or the best of the options that they have heard - even if it is the most unlikely.

We have seen it countless times here in San Antonio.

I expected retail on that corner the minute I got to lookout canyon - in 2004 - because it made the most sense. I am a bit perturbed that the specifics of what is going in have not been disclosed, but hopeful that it will be a benefit to the community. I for one and tired of taking the 20 minute drive 2 - 3 miles down 281 to do life's basics. I hope this helps cut out my need to do that drive so often.
