Pace picante (hot) would be my fav if I had to choose but I prefer to make my "pico de gallo" where I can regulate the heat depending if I wanna use serrano peppers or habaneros which is defintely not for wimps. With habaneros it is wise to use a little bit of olive oil so there's no fire on the way out....know what I mean Verne???

I like Pace Piqante sauce. I remember when they used to make it near downtown at I10 near the old INGRAM plant. I make my own usually. I grow Tomato's peppers and onions in my garden (When it rains!). Chili paquines grow wild out here (Again, when it rains) I fill a jar with them and add cider vinegar and salt. After a few weeks I pour some into an old hot sauce bottle. This stuff is really hot so I regulate it with more or less vinegar. A little goes a long way.

I have a lot of those Chili paquines(sp?) bushes in my backyard planted by the previous owner. I can't stand to eat them but the birds eat them up like nothing! I can't help but wonder how the birds can eat them like that!

My dad had a green parrot that liked the dried red chili peppers you can get most of the year at most grocery stores. It was a treat. I used to watch that parrot eat them and think "Well they must not be THAT hot!"
