Wow, any space between those homes? If a fire catches the house next to you....

Thanks for the pic, though!

I have the same exact view. Houses pretty close together. If one goes we're all screwed. Call me crazy but I don't trust fire!!! It is unpredictable.

I'm at Sundance, and we have not been evacuated as yet.

So, what organizations in San Antonio are accepting donations for wildfire victims?

HEB is collecting money for fire victims. Not sure which organizations they are giving it to, but probably Red Cross, etc.

Wishing everyone out West safety for themselves and their homes.

Thanks for the reverse 911 info, we have a home line and one w/out battery power. That gives me some comfort.

Like pp, these are too close to home. It is very scary and no rain in sight. We're praying for rain and getting things together just in case of fire/evacuations, everyone stay safe!

From Twitter: http://twitter.com/jwazdet/status/112963801040691200

SAFD working new wildfire near starcrest/wurzbach. No local news coverage yet. Downed power line in area may be cause.

And an Express-News reporter says: http://twitter.com/mySA/status/112965402358853632

Starcrest to hill point being closed. Audobond Apts being evacuated.

and

Cops going thru neighborhoods w/ loudspeakers. Mandatory evacuations

About 50 minutes ago, MySA had this tweet...
