Bunch of us are gonna be meeting up at a cafe Saturday morning, then on to the show - better half will be along, so you'll have someone to look at guns AND jewelry (yeah, the bums let jewelry folks sell) with! Should be several of the wives along, in fact - usually are, along with the guys that managed to sneak out...
Im down for a gun show since you know what gun I want to pick up next..

I don't do that, so no worries there. Plus Miami is just as bad with DUI's as it is here. But Florida is very strict on DUI's. If I had to much I let someone else drive or call a friend to pick me up.

More into the bar/lounge scene, crowd in their 30's, do like the Trance/House music scene.

Few places I've been told to check out are Area 31, Green Lantern, Eden Bar & Lounge, The Falls, Bitter End...

I've been to Stonewerks, Long Bar, & Coco Lounge and a few other small bars. Didn't like Coco at all.

i like eden decent food and usually a good special but big hit or mis with the crowd
area 31 next to ivy, if you like techno etc you will like that place.
bitter end use to be one of my fav places but has gone down hill last few years. mostly do to the new neighbor mink

if you like live music (covers) check out retox Retox Bar San Antonio's Live Music Headquarters
crowd is usually 28+ on the weekends. I am a little bias to retox
its down the street from the falls

Good places for happy hour?

Last but not least bar/lounge say for the weekend and a late night out...

drink at home, or call a cab if you go out and drink, even if its one drink.

avoid homosexual bars like the plague unless drama is your thing. lots of that going around in SA...

but 30s and techno? really? peter pan syndrome? i just dont see the lounge-type places blaring any good van buuren, dash berlin, or anything non-mainstream honestly.

Why do you have to bring up your homophobia? Why? You have made it clear in past threads how you felt towards homosexuality.

OP is asking for suggestions, so i made one and cited reasoning behind it. if you like it, thats your thing. merely trying to warn the OP about crap she may not want to deal with.
