When my wife and I bought our house in Helotes it already had a front and back sprinkler system. For the spring of 2012 I want someone to check it out, calibrate it and ensure everything is tip top. Does anyone have recommendations as to who is good but also will not rob you blind?

I appreciate it.

Thanks.

I have no recommendations on a contracter but some advice for self maintenace. Because our water is so hard you need to soak your sprinkler heads in vinager to remove all of the calcium deposits. Its a pain in the neck but will save you money in the long run by not having to replace the heads and will keep the water flowing properly. If you don't feel like soaking them, at least wipe them with a vinager soaked rag.

Not sure what they charge for servicing systems they did not install, but I got my sprinkler system from Tri County Sprinklers and they are always good about coming out to make needed warranty repairs, or to adjust the heads after the ground shrinks (darn drought).
