Talking The Casinos.............

Same as the above poster, I would not recommend Kickapoo, not so great ; (

I've been to these three casinos, and my favorite is L'Auberge du lac! We frequent L'Auberge and our results have been awesome! The first two are in Lake Charles, Louisiana & Kinder, Louisiana (30 minutes apart in distance between the two LA casinos), and the third one is just over the Texas border in Thackerville, Oklahoma.

2) Coushatta Casino Resort - Louisiana's Best Bet! 20 Miles From Lake Charles

3) WinStar World Casino

Winstar has great concerts but other wise it is not worth it. It has a nice facade, but the inside is essentially a tent. It is filled with smokers, so much so that i could not stay five minutes. The only area were there was a nonsmoking room was the poker tables.

Picking up an old post but does anyone know about busses that take groups of people there for weekend gambling? I heard someone talking about it the other day and thought it would be fun .

Kickapoo isn't that bad If you just want to play for a few hours and come back home. I usually frequent Lake Charles/Kinder La. and also New Orleans its fun but now that gas is on the rise it takes more budgeting. Lauberge used to send us promotions for free rooms now we get nothing even though we still play about $500 a day Harrah's changed the way casinos used to comp ask any cab driver from Vegas you have to play at least a $1000.00 a day to get recognized. Coushatta and Kickapoo give better comps than LDL,Isle of Capri and Harrah's. Kickapoo isn't trashy it is just in the middle of no where too close to the border.
