Lately the traffic situation at 1604 to 151 has been a mess (more than usual) in the mornings. What's going on here? It seems to me the the light to turn from 1604 onto 151 no longer stays green very long. Today the traffic was backed up for a mile. It's ridiculous. Anyone else notice this?

What part of the area are you leaving from? I no longer take 1604 in the mornings due to the traffic. I now use Tezel Rd to Hunt Ln because i live near Tezel. I'm able to shave off 15mins!

I don't drive in that area of town, but I did hear about it during the traffic report on the radio around 5:30 this evening, and they said it was due to a slow traffic light...so yes, I would say a lot of people have noticed it! What a nightmare.

I'm coming from Culebra (outside 1604), onto 1604 going south then connecting to 151. Today a normal 15 minute commute took 35+ minutes.

Where does Tezel cross Hunt? I'm confused.

Without getting into extreme detail, basically it's Old Tezel Rd all the way past Culebra to Wiseman then to Hunt then to 151.

Does that make sense? I always get constant green lights all the way to Wiseman and actually keep my cruise control on. Then on Hunt, stay on the right lane and you'll fly past all the cars lined up on the left lane waiting to turn to Military Dr.

It's a really easy drive, imho.

There are good traffic days and there are bad traffic days everywhere. Today was just your day.

Oops, I made a mistake. Replace "Wiseman" with "Westover HIlls Blvd" and it should make sense. Check out a map and let me know!

Makes sense now, but I just call that Tezel not old Tezel. That is where I was cconfused because I think Old Tezel is up further. No big deal, I just thought there was a secret passage I needed to know about.
