I've got several empty helium tanks that we bought at Party City. Does anyone know where I can drop them off? Party City doesn't take them back, you are not allowed to put them in the blue recycling bins and a couple of metal recyclers in town require you to remove the valve. I'm not sure how it can be done. Where do you take them?

The city has a hazardous materials drop off point. It's near 410 and Culebra. They take paint and solvents and anything that does not go into a trash/recycle bin. Call 311 and get the full info.

But you have to provide proof of residency within the city limits, so bring along a CPS or SAWS bill.

It's right next to the Culebra Police substation just south of 410.

Cheers! M2
