So, I'm seeing QR Codes on a LOT of stuff (saw one on the back of a neighbor's company vehicle the other day even). Does ANYONE use them? Is this a new piece of technology that's ever gonna catch on? Have you seen any locally that were cool/interesting/helpful?

I have the app on my phone. I've used them occasionally, Willies and Sams Burger Joint has coupons. Usually they take you to their website or to coupons. I did scan one for GNC a few months ago that took me to a "top secret" facility were they showed a video where they create the vitamins and whatnot using monkeys as the scientists. Not the first time but it was funny.

I love when people put them on their business card. All I have to do is scan the code and the info is saved in my contacts. I have a feeling kids will be getting personal ones and it will be the new way to exchange phone numbers in a bar.

Coupons, offers, etc. Many just take you to their website and I can do that on my own.

I'm a Realtor and many agents are using them on their yard signs now (scan the code and you get the info on that house) and on their marketing materials and biz cards.

Will hafta admit my ignorance on this subject, as I haven't even downloaded the app. I was thinking it was a bit cumbersome and with limited usage, but the ability to scan the code on someone's biz card and it automatically go into your contacts is pretty cool!

I have one for my twitter page. Scan it and it takes you right there. No one uses it, but it was fun to make!
