Anyone have any information on the Ryland and Standard Pacific communities within the Alamo Ranch subdivision?

Well, for starts, the Standard Pacific (Santa Maria) has a lot more trees than the Ryland area (on other side of the main road). The SP homes start in the $180's and the Ryland homes start in the $230's.

Thanks Steel Man for the prompt response. What about the lot sizes in both the Ryland and SP areas? Also any information on the population of both these areas. I recall reading on one post that the SP area was selling pretty slow. Any information provided will be greatly appreciated.

From what I've seen, the lot sizes are standard (about 10 feet between houses). I don't know the population of those two areas as they are relatively new. I would guess that Alamo Ranch has a population of at least 5,000 and growing. If traffic on the nearby Culebra and Loop 1604 intersection is any indication of population growth, then the surrounding population is growing fast.
If you haven't been out to AR, then do so. It is nice and the DR Horton premier home area (on a hill) has great views to the South).
