Does anyone out there know which sealer is best to use on a flagstone deck surrounding a saltwater pool? Our pool's sealed finish was bubbling up a little so we presure washed it away...now hearing that we need a sealer there to protect the stone...Any suggestions? We like a glossy sealer best.... thanks...

Larry, be sure to check out Karl Keene and his "company" on Ripoffreport.com.

I tried to post the URL of the message there, but when I preview the message here, it types out the consumer complaint nature of the post, which I understand is against the CD TOS here, so you'll just have to type "Karl Keene" into the search box.

I just posted a message there, but it hasn't shown up yet. There's another guy posting about this outfit there already, which mirrors my experience.

John

I can also tell you there are some deals out there right now if your in the market.
I'm in the market....what kind of deals??

I have one and I have been fighting algae all summer This summer has been the worst, I have spent more time working in the pool than enjoying it.

Sorry I don't know a good pool company in SA. Gary Pools has been around forever but I don't anything about them.
Use Black Algae killer & Chlor Brite Shock from Leslie's pool supplies to kill the algae then treat it with Phos Free weekly with a couple of caps and I promise if you have good circulation ALL problems will go away. I started using this product about a year and a half ago. Your pool will become your friend again.

Use the sealer made by Kelly Tech. Leslies Pools Carrys it. The best on the market for salt water pools. Also keep the salt level at 3000ppm not 3200ppm thats to conserve the Flagstone.

David, did you win your lawsuit against Karl Keene or Presidential Pools or both? Did you find out his current address or what he's doing now?

I have the uneasy feeling he's still around, selling pools he'll never build, to the unwary.

He's sure hurt a lot of people from the looks of things.

Not a big fan of pools, but I've delivered rock to them, and by looking at their plans and quality of their material I'd recomend Newman Pool Company or Blue Heaven. They do quality work.

I would not recommend Blue Haven Pools for an inground pool. They overpromise and underdeliver. I have read complaints on them from several sources and I myself will be filing a claim through the BBB. I have been waiting on my pool since April and I am still waiting. The work they have done is below par and I have rocks in my driveway for at least three weeks. My deck dimensions are wrong and they refuse to fix without additional money. Definitely don't recommend.

Read your contract with them, if they are in violation of that, then file with the small claims court, or if possible, with the DA if they have scammed you.
