You're right - it is off topic. So I'll close it by saying I feel sorry for him too - to a point. I watched my grandparents smoke 3-4 packs a day. Grandfather is gone, grandmother fighting emphesyma (sp?). Sad thing, she still says she craves a cigarette now and then - but knows the dangers, so she quit. Unfortunately, seems like that guy will have to hit bottom, if even then, to stop.

Back on topic....

Perhaps justice will be served by him surviving. He will become somebody's girlfriend in prison, just like that punk Joey Estrada.

Its a shame more of our tax dollars going to this kid to spend some time in jail. Dammit shoot to kill people! I would like to see better use of my tax dollars.

I agree. Perhaps that officer needs a commendation and some extra time at the range so next time it won't cost us so much money.

Funny how I didn't even have to play guess the race this time. My first assumption was correct.

Thats why you shoot to kill, so there is only one side to the story. Everybody knows dead men dont talk.

He was driving a stolen car and attempted to run over a police officer - someone needs to answer for THAT.

"Shoot first, shoot fast, ask questions later, let God deal with the paperwork."

Gotta love the advice a former Marine father gives his daughter on the eve of her first deployment.
