OK, so I have something good to say about SA.. the part of 410 where you get on from Valley High is REALLY nice. It was like I was riding on air and for a few thousand feet. I felt at peace and then I got to Marbach and the usuals ruined everything...

Interesting thought.. It was a rush like a high. Even the wind was at my back and I had been fighting it all day. It's like SA has been Chicago ever since I bought my bike.

Today was the first time I've been down it in many moons. It looks cleaner and more healthy. Perti must've been smiling..

Just decided to go to Michigan on Prez Day weekend so I can get my other wrist done. Gotta love spur of the moment logic and enough miles for a round trip ticket.

The area has gotten a lot better just within the last 3 years or so. I actually live by Miller's Pond, where some exercise equipment was put in that I always say I'm going to check out but never do. The Valley Hi HEB has improved too - added better products, made the aisles wider. There is a new shopping strip that has a yogurt place that I always say I'm going to check out but never do. I hope they build better housing though, like some nicer apartments. It's definitely still got some problems (the dead guy hog tied and floating in the pond, graffiti, and chop shops in people's yards) but overall I am happy with the area. Its rarely congested which is always a plus and 15 minutes from where I work...that's whats up.

That traffic is almost always a plus.

Dead guy floating in a pond might be a negative... Was he a good boy?

I read a story about him in the Express News. Cold case now, never found his killer(s) .... very sad.

My niece lived over by the pond when it was first built. It's a nice place.

My parents bought their house in 1964 and we would walk up to the Valley Hi mall and just sit in the middle, people watching for hours then go to the pool. A group of us would hang out at the park next to the pool till some perv decided he wanted to " hang out" with us!
