That's a contrast in dogs there. One of the best guard dogs with one described by Dogs 101 as the worst guard dog ever (Lab). More likely to lick and help you rob the place than bite or attack.

Labs are really good with children though. The best dog I ever known was a lab.

Exactly. They were the ideal family dog as far as safe. I've never heard of a lab attacking anyone ever.

Already got my unique gift for the year

We went out to dinner once and vowed never to do it again. It's just not worth the added cost, cheesiness, and hassle of being out with all the other people trying to impress someone. I naturally impress and that's good enough for her...

actually, I just try to get something unique every year and also always make it seem like I'm not getting her anything and don't really care. 25th anniversary is at the end of this month, so I guess I'm doing something right...

I forgot how good the HEB tortillas are. I just bought some freshly cooked and still warm in the plastic bag. Definitely tastes homemade and reminds me of the ones I used to buy in the Valley.

I love tortillas, but rarely indulge in them. Best to keep that a rare treat.
I'll be buying some mañana, though. Having fajitas (in Peter Griffin voice) for the Super Bowl.
