A house a block away from me is burning. God, I hope everyone is safe. So scary. I can smell the smoke.

Big thumbs up to the young Army gentlemen who helped my mom this morning in the rain when she got a flat tire. They pulled over, help her change her tire, put everything back and went on their way. Refused to take a penny. The only way she knew was because they were wearing "their Army workout gear like you used to" says my Mom. Otherwise known as the IPFU. LOL. So funny.

Someone just txt me Whitney Houston died. Well...a life of drug abuse and Bobby Brown will catch up to ya'. I hate that genre of music, but since she remade a Dolly Parton classic I will rewind to to the early 90's. I will always love you for those scratching their heads.

It's kinda funny that the rodeo is going on but nobody has posted anything about it lately, unless I missed the post.

Default Fajitas

Does anybody remember the first time they had Fajitas? The first time I had them was at a party in San Marcos in the early 70's. I am sure they were around before that. When La Fogata opened it was just a little place. They sold Taco's al Carbon. They had something called Pico de Gallo ( Head of a rooster or something like that) . Shortly after that the first Taco Cabana opened at the Dairy Queen on San Pedro at Hildebrand. They sold Taco's al carbon too but soon changed it to Fajitas. I think Chicken Fajitas should actually be called Chicken al carbon. Does anybody remember any of this?
