We are going to be putting in a small flagstone patio in our backyard. We are going to do the work ourselves and just need to find the best place to buy. Good selection and reasonable prices. Any suggestions?

there are a couple of stone places, but one that always sticks out is one we see on our way to Boerne every weekend. It's called Stone & Soil, on the west side of I-10. They look like they have quite a selection.

Depends on where you are. Keller Materials on the east side (410 and Rigsby) is a great place, and I have bought most of my flagstone there. San Jacinto Materials also has some nice stone choices and is really close to downtown, as long as you don't mind that the owner is not afraid to fly the Stars and Bars (among the other "6 Flags of Texas" of course) over his business.

Yes Stone and Soil have a great selection. I went there once and was pleased with the pricing for flagstone. Check them out online. They use to have the price list on line but I am not sure if they still do.
